Went to the exhibition space today to hand in the video and poster. Seeing the exhibition space was amazing, I can't believe that we have this opportunity at the end of our first project.
At first I felt that it was a massive amount of pressure to have for our first project but now I just can't wait for our opening night on Tuesday.

GROUP CRIT>>>>
This afternoon we had our final group crit. Before the meeting with our tutors our whole group -1 met in the canteen and had a discussion before hand. I requested everyone to come in earlier because it is now getting so close to the deadline and we have not yet met as a whole group.
We seemed to get along alright, with 4 of us having to fill in other group members that have not been in uni or made many suggestions to the project so far. .. Seemed everything was alright until we went into the crit.
I was shocked at how rude a certain group member was. No input! and this was the first time we were seeing any work.... also all she was able to do was sit there and pull faces. Our (4) group has been working hard trying to keep everyone in the loop, asking questions about what format we wanted, what paper we should be printing on... what layout. all the important decisions leading up to the final outcome and there was no input what so ever from the other 3.
It is difficult to work in a group . well difficult to work in a group of people you have just met.
From today's performance from 2 particular group members I have given up on trying to include them as much. I will still be posting up when meetings are going on and what is happening, as well as if we make any major decisions but if they decide not to input then they have no say it what is happening with the book, I cant let a few people hold the rest of the group back when we are trying so hard to get everyones input into this project.

Movie - - - -
Went to Portobello Market this morning to get footage for the group video of the stalls being set up. I spent 2 hours taking footage of the stalls, then about half an hour taking footage in the underground of people coming off the tube at Notting Hill station.
I think that since the movie has been left for so long, getting footage that I can speed up and edit easily is our best option at the moment. I wish we had managed to get this sorted earlier because I think that there is some amazing footage I could have taken round that area - and with enough time made a really great 2 min movie, I just didnt want to prioritize the movie over the physical group book.

Today we were all supposed to bring in our work to see what people had managed to get done in their sketch books and to have a general discussion on what everyone was going to do for the book based on what work we have already done. .. . . ..
This piece was in Layers - about 5 actually this is the first thing I did in my sketch book, just to have a play around with paper manipulation as an idea for the final book.
Photo Transfer -->
Using the pictures I took of the doors I used paint thinner to transfer the photos onto cartridge paper, then I scored the paper so I could fold it past each door making it able to stand up on a table, or to be used as an insert for the final book possibly.
These are some photos of my sketch book work.
<-- The birds were something my tutor really liked so I think im going to work on creating more of those for the book.
A few of the group members didnt show up, so we have just had to look at what was brought in and see where we can go with it. -
